The Turkish lira is a special case among the currencies on this site: it is not merely exchanged in Syria, it circulates as a means of payment in parts of the north, alongside the Syrian pound and the dollar.
Its rate against the pound is a cross rate built through the dollar, because TRY/SYP has no meaningful international interbank volume. The pair therefore inherits the Turkish lira's own volatility on top of the Syrian pound's.
